Also want to pick out for Bilic for another crazy sun when he replaced snodgrass for Feghouli.

My word Feg is so lazy. Likes a run forward but then walks back leaving Byram (best player yesterday) exposed time and time again.

We bought some shit in the summer.

Let's be honest think we all knew Calleri would do nothing and he proved it again.

He never hits the target even after being set up on a plate on a number of occasions.

His passing was a joke and don't get me started he works hard. I watched him and spent most of the time running towards defenders to avoid getting the ball. It is clear had no confidence bit is clearly out of his depth. Just hope his is on loan and we didn't buy him?

People defending Calleri helps me realise how we were hoodwinked into moving to that shit stadium.

The bloke is an embarrassment. I would have been pissing myself if that was an opposition players performance. Woeful.

He has no clue where to position himself as a striker.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Swansea - Official Match Thread
Thought Calleri did ok, clearly lacking confidence though. The reason he gets in before Fletcher is that Fletcher is absolutely useless and will never make it at this level. He's a league 1 player at best for me.

It was reported last week that Bilic wants to keep him next season to settle in fully after moving from S America.

No reason to doubt Bilic's judgement on spotting a decent player is there?

No, I think they speak Spanish.

Calleri scored 16 in 41 games for Boca Juniors in the 2014-15 season. What sort of opposition do Boca come up against?

Is it like Celtic playing Cowdenbeath every week?

It's funny on here that the owners get blasted for not being ambitious enough but most of our fans are still happy with mediocrity on the pitch. This move should never have happened, we will be never be suited as a club to being in this big shithole.

As for Calleri, he will never be good enough and he won't be here next season.

So, his first touch, passing, and shooting are woeful, but he ''works hard''.

I really hoped we'd progressed beyond being satisfied that a tiny bit of running about but no skill was a sufficient quality for a striker.

to be fair to calleri he did well defending from the front.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Swansea - Official Match Thread
Sorry David, but I agree with Aka, Calleri does work hard and keeps good pressure on the ball that unsettles the defenders and makes it harder to build up an attack from the back.
But his first touch, passing and shooting is woeful

I guess, Bilic had Carroll and Sakho on the bench as last ditch mesures for if we were behind or still drawing towards the end and actually did not want to use them for a large part of the game. Has to be said dangerous gamble considering our situation, but it worked...

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Swansea - Official Match Thread
Lets get this straight. Calleri did not ''work his bollocks off''. He was dreadful, absolute toilet. This is a supposed Premier league striker we're talking about. Too many of you seem to equate a bit of sweat on the shirt (it was a hot day) with effort, which then somehow translates into talent (see Carlton Cole 2000-2015)

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Swansea - Official Match Thread
Was a very odd sub expected carrol or sakho on for antonio.

To be fair to calleri I thought despite being a bit shit he worked his bollox off

I think Fletcher was not even on the bench!

Yet another one of Bilic's bizarre decisions, how Calleri has got in front of Fletcher.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Swansea - Official Match Thread
Calleri is weird, he has moments of skill and moments of absolute crap

Did you notice when he took the ball of someone, knocked up in the air over himself and a swansea player, went round the swansea player to receive his own ball and then made an overweighted pass forward that went straight to the swansea goal keeper. Not much help really.

I would so much rather see Fletcher get some more time on the field

Calleri really is a very poor footballer, isn't he.

When Collins, Byram and Arthur were the 3 best players on the pitch it tells you everything you need to know about our performance.

A much needed result ground out by some proper performances, Ginger Pele just edged MOTM for me, some heroic stuff and I think our most underrated defender.

First two subs (Calleri & Feghouli) told the story of our season for me, not enough quality bought in plenty of opportunities in advance positions wasted by these two, not up to standard at all.
